Grand Theft Auto V (also known as GTA V or GTA 5) is an open-world action-adventure game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. It was released in September 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and in November 2014 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A PC version was released in April 2015. The game is set in the fictional state of San Andreas, which is based on Southern California. The story follows three criminals - Michael De Santa, Trevor Philips, and Franklin Clinton - who are trying to pull off a series of heists while also dealing with their own personal issues. GTA V features both single-player and online multiplayer modes, and allows players to freely explore the game world, engage in various activities, and interact with non-playable characters. The game also includes a variety of vehicles, weapons, and customization options for the player's characters.
