The game is set in the Star Wars universe and is the sixth entry in the Lego Star Wars series. The game features a completely new gameplay engine, which allows players to explore the Star Wars galaxy in an open-world format. Players can choose to play as any of the nine Skywalker saga films' characters, including Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Rey, Kylo Ren, and more. The game also includes new features, such as voice acting and improved graphics, and includes content from all nine Skywalker saga films. Players can experience the story through over 45 levels, with the ability to switch between characters at any time. Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is set to be released for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in 2022.
